Which box is right for you?

Buying for yourself and new to premium cigars, start with a Connecticut wrapper. It is the gentlest thing we make and it will not bury a palate that is still learning. Buying for someone who already smokes, go Habano or Maduro and let the blend do the talking.

Buying as a gift, buy the box. A graduation, a retirement, a signing day, a hire. The cigars get smoked in a season and the hand painted box sits on a shelf for twenty years with their school on it.

Are these officially licensed?

Yes. Every box is produced under a direct license with the university's athletics licensing program, administered through CLC, Learfield or Affinity. Bocock Brothers is the only officially licensed collegiate premium cigar company in the world, which is why school marks, colors and championship years can legally appear on the band and on the hand painted box.

Where are the boxes made?

Every cigar is rolled entirely by hand at Casa Don Andrés in Danlí, Honduras. Danlí's cigar industry was started in 1963 by Cubans who left the island, and the method has not changed since. Long filler, whole leaf wrappers, no machines at any stage.

Does every school smoke the same?

No. Bryant and Douglas Bocock sit with the master blender in Danlí and choose the blend that carries each school's name, along with the wrapper, the vitola and whether it is box pressed. Most licensed merchandise is a logo on whatever was already in the warehouse. This is not that.

Are the boxes really painted by hand?

Yes. Every collegiate box is painted by hand in the school's colors before a single cigar goes into it. Because they are painted rather than printed, no two are identical, and the box is the part people keep long after the cigars are gone.

What makes a championship box different?

Championship boxes are commemorative runs painted and dated for one specific national title, produced once and never reprinted. When the run sells out it does not come back. That is why they turn up on shelves in offices and letterman clubs years later.

Do you ship nationwide, and is there an age requirement?

Yes, we ship across the United States. All customers must be of legal age to purchase tobacco, and age is verified at checkout and again at delivery.
